A wide variety of support groups are available to members of the San Diego Museum of Art. These groups are formed to further education and awareness about the arts and the Museum. African Arts Council
The African Arts Council (AFAC) is dedicated to promoting appreciation of African art through its support of acquisition, celebration, and education. Tours to private and public collections, lectures, and discussions provide further knowledge and enhance awareness of the arts of Africa. Artists Guild
The Artists Guild, established in 1915, supports the San Diego Museum of Art and strengthens the bond between the Museum and the artists of San Diego. All members are welcome to attend. Asian Arts Council
The Asian Arts Council (AAC) exists to foster interest in SDMA's Asian art collection through its annual lecture series and study groups and by supporting curatorial needs. Committee for the Arts of the Indian Subcontinent
The Committee for the Arts of the Indian Subcontinent (CAIS), established in 2003, supports SDMA's Edwin Binney 3rd Collection and works to enhance the appreciation of all the arts of India. Contemporary Arts Committee
The Contemporary Arts Committee's purpose is to educate by presenting contemporary art and artists in the area. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:15 p.m. in private homes, galleries, and art institutions. For more information, call Bill Stern at (858) 720-0097.

East County Chapter
The purpose of the East County Chapter is to support the work of SDMA and provide art enrichment to East County students. Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 10:00 a.m., September through June. For information, please call or email Sue Sachs at (619) 501-1927.

Latin American Arts Committee
The purpose of the Latin American Arts Committee is to foster, on behalf of the San Diego Museum of Art, knowledge in and appreciation of Latin American art. North County Chapter
