The 20th century was a breathtaking moment in the history of Japanese printmaking.  Some artists explored new techniques and materials, while others depicted unusual subjects using traditional methods. We will discuss how Japanese artists of this period created evocative works of art through a variety of printmaking processes and how they responded to the world around them through their art.
