Art Alive brings a kaleidoscope of colorful floral arrangements interpreting works of art from the Museum collection, four days of fun-filled events, large-scale art and flower installations, and a garden of activities for families and artists of all ages. Art Alive 2024 celebrates the art of India and will feature a special installation from the Museum’s renowned Edwin Binney 3rd Collection of South Asian paintings. See the Museum rotunda transform with a beautiful floral installation by 2024 Rotunda Designer Meghaa Modi, experience special art installations only on view during Art Alive, and enjoy hands-on art-making and interactive activities designed for families and artists of all ages to do together in the Garden of Activities Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28.
Plus, new this year, Art Alive attendees are invited to enjoy Bollywood films by Sanjay Leela Bhansali at the MOPA@SDMA theater on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. Films are included with Art Alive admission.
Art Alive is The San Diego Museum of Art’s signature annual fundraiser, providing essential support for the Museum’s exhibitions, education, outreach, and public programs. Talented floral designers fill the galleries with fragrant arrangements inspired by the Museum collection, offering a brilliantly colored backdrop for a weekend of beloved traditions and art-inspired activities.

Guest passes are not valid during Art Alive.
Time tickets are required.
Members may also reserve tickets to the Art Alive Members’ Preview on Friday, April 26 from 8:00 a.m.–noon.
Members receive complimentary access to Art Alive. Individual members can reserve one timed ticket for Art Alive; all other members may reserve two timed tickets. Members can attend the Art Alive floral exhibition each event day but must reserve a timed ticket for each day.
Timed tickets are required; pre-registration is strongly encouraged. There will be a limited number of tickets available at the door on a first come, first serve basis.
