Join us as multidisciplinary, Madrid-based artist Ana de Alvear discusses the underlying themes and methods used in creating her incredible works. Her detailed drawings will be featured in an upcoming exhibition, Everything You See Could Be A Lie: Photorealistic Drawings by Ana de Alvear, coming to The San Diego Museum of Art in June 2021.
Members and ticket buyers will also enjoy access to a virtual studio tour by the artist on Saturday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. PDT as a part of their ticket reservation.
The Axline Lecture is presented annually by The San Diego Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in recognition of the extraordinary bequest by Rea and Jackie Axline to both institutions in 1999.
