Gibson Guitar Online Auction: Last Day

Event Navigation

Through a generous donation from the Gibson Foundation, The San Diego Museum of Art shares for the first time the The Shepherdess Gibson Les Paul. The guitar is named after The Young Shepherdess (1885) by William Adolphe Bouguereau, a painting which hangs in the Museum’s Upper Rotunda. Infused with the artistic vision of Chor Boogie, a critically acclaimed spray paint artist, and the spirit of The San Diego Museum of Art, this guitar exemplifies what it means to bring fine art and music together. Charged with the vision of the Museum, this treasure of rock and roll will be auctioned off for the holiday season. Proceeds from the online sale will support the mission of the Museum to “inspire, educate, and cultivate curiosity through great works of art.”

The auction is now LIVE and ends on 12/18 at 4 p.m!
